Course Overview

This course is designed for workers in all types of workplace environments where manual handling tasks are performed as part of daily duties. It is suitable for employees involved in lifting, carrying, moving, pushing, pulling, holding, or handling materials, equipment, tools, stock, or other items in the workplace. The training is appropriate for office environments, retail workplaces, hospitality venues, manufacturing facilities, maintenance operations, education settings, community services, cleaning services, transport operations, production areas, and general workplace environments.

• Introduction to hazardous manual tasks across different work environments.
• Workplace health and safety (WHS) responsibilities and legal requirements.

Course Requirements

This is an open entry course with no prerequisite qualifications. To ensure you complete the course successfully, the following entry requirements apply:

Participants must:

• Be aged 18 years or over
• Have recent minimum two years of industry experience
• Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
• Able to commit to the course duration and time commitment
• Learners must have access to a computer and the internet
• Must supply a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
• Have a valid email account and a telephone with a valid telephone number for learning and assessment communication, support session
