Course Overview
Participants will gain an understanding of how infections spread within dental environments and learn practical strategies to prevent and control contamination during clinical and non-clinical procedures.
The training covers standard and transmission-based precautions, hand hygiene, correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning and sterilisation procedures, instrument reprocessing, environmental cleaning, and the safe handling and disposal of clinical waste and sharps.Course Outline

This is an open entry course with no prerequisite qualifications. To ensure you complete the course successfully, the following entry requirements apply:
Participants must:
- Be aged 18 years or over
- Have the ability to read and write English
- Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
- Able to commit to the course duration and time commitment
- Learners must have access to a computer and the internet
