The Chief Fire Warden Training course provides participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to effectively manage workplace emergencies and lead emergency response teams. The course covers the development and implementation of emergency procedures, coordination of evacuation processes, conducting training exercises and drills, and supervising wardens during emergency situations to help ensure the safety of all occupants within a workplace or facility.

Course Overview

The course focuses on emergency preparedness, evacuation management, communication procedures, and coordinating wardens and occupants during emergency situations. Participants will learn how to develop and implement workplace emergency procedures, conduct evacuation drills, operate emergency systems, and respond confidently to various workplace emergencies while ensuring compliance with WHS legislative requirements and Australian Standards.

Prerequisite Requirements

  • All participants must hold PUAFER005 - Operate as part of an emergency control organisation (commonly known as Fire Warden).
  • If you do not meet this requirement, you can enrol in our Fire Warden Training which includes unit-PUAFER005 - Operate as part of an emergency control organisation.

Certification

Learners who are deemed competent will receive a Statement of Attainment which is recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework. This certification is nationally recognised.

Course Requirements

This is an open entry course with no prerequisite qualifications. To ensure you complete the course successfully, the following entry requirements apply:

Participants must:

  • Be aged 18 years or over
  • Have recent minimum two years of industry experience
  • Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
  • Able to commit to the course duration and time commitment
  • Learners must have access to a computer and the internet
  • Must supply a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
  • Have a valid email account and a telephone with a valid telephone number for learning and assessment communication, support session
