Course Overview

This bundled training course is designed for all workers, particularly those in the construction and logistics industries, who are routinely exposed to hazardous manual tasks and environments where the risks associated with drug and alcohol use must be managed.

The course raises awareness about the risks, safety practices, and legal responsibilities associated with manual handling tasks and substance use in the workplace. It supports workers in recognising, managing, and mitigating these risks, contributing to a safer and more compliant work environment.

Course Outline

The key learning outcomes covered by this course include:

  • Identify hazardous manual tasks and the risks they pose to health and safety
  • Apply proper manual handling techniques to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal injuries
  • Understanding clinical zones and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) requirements
  • Understand the impact of drugs and alcohol in the workplace
  • Learning about Standard and Transmission Based Precautions
  • Recognise the signs of substance impairment and know the procedures to follow
  • Understand legal responsibilities and company policies related to drugs and alcohol

I genuinely have not had a better course. If you want to be left alone to study at your own pace and have everything online, this is the one! I was able to call and email if I needed help with a query and the course lecturer was very helpful. I loved that this was all online with very easy, simple instructions on what to do and how to do it. Highly recommend Right choice!
