To ensure you complete the course successfully, the following entry requirements apply for the BSB51319 Diploma of Work Health and Safety:
All BSB41419 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety core units or equivalent competencies. Equivalent competencies are predecessors to the following units which have been mapped as equivalent.
In Addition, you must:
- Be aged 18 years or over
- Have recent minimum two years of industry experience
- Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
- Able to commit to the course duration and time commitment
- Learners must have access to a computer and the internet
- Must supply a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- Have a valid email account and a telephone with a valid telephone number for learning and assessment communication, support session

With relevant work experience and on completion of this course, learners may be granted entry into either a Master of Business Administration or a Bachelor of Business. Learners can also undertake the BSB60120 – Advanced Diploma of Business or BSB60619- – Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety qualification to gain additional business and management skills.
Course Duration
Learners will be required to undertake 18 units of study including core units and elective units. Course units are delivered sequentially and should be completed over a 24-month period. The units in each stream have been selected to give you the most comprehensive overview of that business area at a management level.
