Entry to the BSB50620 Diploma of Marketing and Communication qualification is limited to those who:
Have completed BSB42415 Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication.
OR
Have completed the following units (or equivalent competencies):
BSBCMM411 Make presentationsBSBCRT412 Articulate, present and debate ideasBSBMKG433 Undertake marketing activitiesBSBMKG433 Undertake marketing activitiesBSBMKG435 Analyse consumer behaviourBSBMKG439 Develop and apply knowledge of communications industryBSBWRT411 Write complex documentsEquivalent competencies are predecessors to these units, which have been mapped as equivalent.
OR
If you have worked in a Marketing and Communication related role, you can provide evidence to demonstrate the two (2) years’ equivalent full-time relevant work experience to satisfy the qualification entry requirements.
In Addition, you must:
- Be aged 18 years or over
- Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
- Able to commit to the course duration and time commitment
- Learners must have access to a computer and the internet
- Must supply a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- Have a valid email account and a telephone with a valid telephone number for learning and assessment communication, support session

With relevant work experience and on completion of this course, learners may be granted entry into either a Master of Business Administration or a Bachelor of Business. Learners can also undertake the BSB60120 – Advanced Diploma of Business or BSB60620- – Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication qualification to gain additional business, marketing and communication skills.
Course Duration
Learners will be required to undertake 16 units of study including core units and elective units. Course units are delivered sequentially and should be completed over a 24-month period. The units in each stream have been selected to give you the most comprehensive overview of that business area at a management level.
