This is an open entry course with no pre-requisite qualifications. To ensure you complete the course successfully, the following entry requirements apply:
- Be aged 18 years or over
- Have sound language and literacy skills (at least Year 10 English, or equivalent)
- Able to commit to the course duration and time commitment
- Learners must have access to a computer (including MS Office Tools) and the internet.
- Must supply a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
- Have a valid email account and a telephone with a valid telephone number for learning and assessment communication, support session
Course Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be awarded the nationally recognised CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification.
The CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care will build your knowledge and skills to support children’s wellbeing, and development in the context of an approved learning framework.

Course Duration
Learners will be required to undertake 17 units of study including 15 core units and 2 elective units. Course units are delivered as clustered modules and should be completed over the 12-month period. The units have been selected to give you the most comprehensive overview of Early Childhood Education and Care roles and legislative requirement.

Notes
- To achieve this qualification, you must complete a total of at least 160 hours of work in your chosen regulated children’s education and care service in Australia as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of units of competency. The total number of hours may be applied collectively across all units of competency that include the requirement for workplace hours. . It is the responsibility of each Learner to organise their own work placement.
- The unit HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an education and care setting must be completed with an external registered training provider at your own cost. A copy of the Statement of Attainment must be forwarded to Right Choice Training before completion of the course to get the credit transfer.

Right Choice Training will ensure that assessment is conducted in the workplace or simulated workplace environment and that the appropriate resources are accessible to all learners to ensure demonstration of competency. Upon online submission of your assessment, the assessor will provide detail feedback and where required, you will be provided with opportunities to adjust and resubmit your assessment tasks.
